Move Over Morph

Twit Twoo

Is there any better way to spend a sunny Sunday morning than with a cup of tea and copious amounts of hand size birds? They are little visual treats. Have a little look here for some more.

I was going to end on a bird pun, but in hindsight i don’t think i will put you through the pain.

Enjoy your Sunday.

A March Monday Midnight Mix

Here is a short dubstep mix i compiled at the beginning of the week. Given the late hour of composition it is something of a chilled affair, but still has plenty of big rolling basslines to drift away upon. (Current favourite tracks being the Scuba remix and Cyaan Stop by Swedish producer Duke)
It has been a beautiful start to the dubstep year already with lots of new producers emerging on the scene, and the well established ones pushing their sounds in all directions. A post will follow soon with a proper retrospective of the past few months, and the prospects of the coming ones.
tracklist:
expansions – sigha
when i grow up – fever ray (scuba’s straght down mix)
victoria’s secret feat D1 – caspa
new format jazz – time, bella
mosaix – pangaea
meddle – little boots (joker remix)
pudding pop – dubsworth, bakir
cool blue – ike release
cyaan stop – duke
sometimes i still miss her – charlie p.
bless up – osc
bushido – the others
closer – synkro
plumes – kontext (ramadanman refix)

Wildlife Wonders

A trio of animal related treats.

1 – www.amautalab.com
The website is nothing unusual, it being a place to showcase work produced under the collective of Amautalab, although there’s a few nice pieces under the ‘works’ section.
The bits that got me very excited were under the headings Space, Forest and Ocean. Be sure to have a look at Bambi in the Ocean scene.

2 – www.juliapott.com
This next beauty is by Julia Potts. Graduating from Kingston uni in 2007, she has since been shortlisted for numerous awards. This particular animation was part of her final exhibition.

It’s bloody marvelous and if your partial to a good bit of drawing and the occasional animal hump shimmy over to her website.

3 – www.andycouncil.co.uk
Finally here’s a few of Andy Council’s drawings of lovely dinosaurs made up of some unusual materials.

More of his work can be found on the website.

Enjoy.

Scampin’

.. a.k.a playful mischief.

28.02.09, Market Bar, Nottingham – The Bloody Beetroots played an hour of delightful madness. Heavy beats and their dancing soon got the whole venue involved.

This is the song I was waiting for and it was saved for the finale.

The Bloody Beetroots – Dimmakmmunication

The following scampin’ acts took place..

.. climbing the DJ booth,

.. mad masked men,

.. mayhem on the dancefloor,

.. but also some love and appreciation for the party fun provided.

The Bloody Beetroots – I Love The Bloody Beetroots

If you get the chance to go see these guys, do it, you won’t be disappointed.
