Trees

eLDOKO aka Tom Elkington grew up with non-electronic music but curiosity soon led him to a new love for djing. After moving to Oxford and securing regular dj slots, he progressed onto a dedication for production. To date a series of original tracks and remixes that cover a range of downtempo electronica, techno and house have been completed. Expect melodic sample rich songs with a sprinkle of jazz to dance to or simply enjoy on a stroll.

‘Run For The Trees’ EP consists of three tracks and has received some interest for release in the near future. These two offerings show some insight into the spectrum of sound we can expect from Tom in the future.

Swing house with saxophones. Filtered build for the release of an ear easy warble bass.

Deep house with tribal percussion, distant brass and a panning sharp trumpet.

Furthermore here’s some irony, Tom is co-organising a small weekend festival ‘Gottwood‘ this June in the Welsh forest of Carreglwyd. No hassle, no rules, just a physically and visually uplifting stride, towards the perfect weekend away from reality. Artists include Max Cooper, DJ Format, David E. Sugar, TEED and an Igloo hosted by Trouble Vision where I will be playing.

René Ménard – from ‘Le livre des arbres’
“In the forest, I am my entire self. Everything is possible in my heart just as it is in the hiding places in ravines. Thickly wooded distance seperates me from moral codes and cities.”
