Here’s a premature present to accompany the festive fun. John Malcolm Moore is usually seen behind the screen making animations and videos. However, he also djs and is one of the GYGO crew, but more recently has been doing some solo performances, including resident for Tief. This 100% wax mix is full of golden nuggets to get your body bopping and feet thumping.

Sometimes

Larcier delivers a sumptuous softy on Cracki Records as their first release. This original shows the subtly of sound detail, without the over use of production processes. A clear gradual smooth groove with sweeping synths and bellow bass. The set comes with a vocal and remix too.

Tief

If, unlike me, you are in London at the end of this year I highly recommend counting down to 2012 at Tief in Corsica Studios. The previous two events were stupendously received, with great audiences and music. Tickets are almost out and with this long list of lovelies it promises to be a special send off/welcome. Enjoy Greymatter’s mix in preparation.

Tief 003 – Greymatter

Floor

Redshape‘s recent double track release on Running Back Records is a righteous romper. The first ‘Floor’ is a jingling swarm of mysterious moods with a steady synth sweep. The second ‘Goom’ brings a bit of boom; with classic drum machine patterns and a swaying tail of tension through a resonating riff.

Work

This is about as smooth as stroking freshly settled snow, but much warmer. Early nineties NY house from single release alias duo Alex M. Siren vocals, soft flute synth, perky percussion and organ chords. Oooooyeh!

Pray

The second version of this song to share from the Swede Axel Boman. Amalgamating clean drums, sweeping atmospherics and a twisting bass belch, this one suits a treacherous ice ridden trip to work.

Back

Following on from the success of Vocals For Everyone comes More. Two new tracks from the We Play House duo, with the latter instrumental providing an intriguing insight into a forthcoming album in 2012. Drum drive, pulsating pads and synth supreme; it’s smouldering yet smooth.

FCL – Back (Instrumental)

Blood

Some songs are simple yet still manage to satisfy and hit the right spots. Exactly what In Fragranti‘s remix of Lula Circus does every listen. Hop scotch perc with a bouncy frog bass before a riff release to revel in.
