Style

As sun comes out and deadlines set in here is a track from Maceo Plex, a smooth, deep and steady roller with the remix by Maya Jane Coles. Perfect for laying out to in the sun of zoning in on the computer – the choice is yours…

Relocating Architecture

Danish artist Armsrock is currently working on a new site specific street art project which aims to change the urban landscape of Copenhagen.

The artists non-permanent works are created using Dia slide projections, this means that once the artist moves on, the images are gone. Seems to us like an incredibly ethical way of practicing street art.

Here are a couple of released images from the relocating architecture project. To find out more you can visit the artists official Blogger page HERE

Vivian Maier

Critics are already calling her one of the greatest street photographers of the 20th century. Here’s the amazing story of how former estate agent John Maloof discovered the extraordinary work of Vivian Maier

Capturing Summer

With many of us having to deal with a mountain of deadlines due in before Christmas, temperatures falling below zero and money reserves being depleted, I though it would be appropriate to post a little something reminding us of  warmer times.

Here’s a brilliant gif creation by renouned 3D photographer Joshua Heineman, beautifully capturing a lazy evening on one of the last days of summer. Here’s how Josh describes his latest work:

“When the last fading rays of summer finally fall to the autumn change, know you will always have this sun, this one, for the rest of your days.”

Birds

Andrew Zuckerman‘s latest photographic project features an array of bird species and captures their portraits in a white setting. A simple concept that clearly displays the diverse colours and textures of each bird. The dedicated website birdbook.org includes many great photos along with sound samples and basic information. Sensational.

Stephanie Di Giusto

Director Stéphanie Di Gusto has produced this beautiful video for the launch of Vanessa Bruno’s Spring 2010 collection. It features model/actress Lou Doillon in a dreamy reality where three differing emotive scenes are accompanied by their own delightful piece of music. Stephanie’s photography is also worth checking out.

Car Boot Treasure

I went to my local Sunday car boot yesterday and spent £1 on these fine visual treats! Two feature dates of 1938 and 1939 and the place name of Wales.

Barking mad?

Poodle2_1468674c

I rather love a ridiculous looking dog, usually though they’re stupidly small and resemble rats. But these Poodles are quite the exception.

You may have seen these recently covered by a few newspapers (the Guardian and Telegraph to name two) and they are the ‘work’ of American photographer and pet lover Ren Netherland.

It’s not the kind of thing I would normally think of posting but it’s such a miserable day, and they have done a good job of brightening it up for me (and now hopefully for you). To see more of these wonderful transformations, visit The Guardian.

Twit Twoo

Is there any better way to spend a sunny Sunday morning than with a cup of tea and copious amounts of hand size birds? They are little visual treats. Have a little look here for some more.

I was going to end on a bird pun, but in hindsight i don’t think i will put you through the pain.

Enjoy your Sunday.
